I’m Shane Langrell, your Fine Gael local election candidate for the Wicklow District.
Growing up in Ballinahinch Newtownmountkennedy and now residing in Knockadreet Ashford with my wife, Roisin, and our daughters, Alannah, Kerrie, and Erin, has deepened my connection to our district, driving my commitment to making it the best place for us to live.
Listening and understanding your challenges and needs will be my first priority.
In the upcoming 2024 elections, I am putting myself forward as a proud Wicklow man who cares deeply about our community’s well-being. Understanding the diverse needs of this district, I am committed to ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
My priorities:
- Ensuring our community has housing options locally, so people don’t need to move away from the area they call home.
- Improving our infrastructure – ensuring our districts have robust transport networks, well-maintained roads, and recreational facilities to enhance our daily lives.
- Supporting and listening to local business owners will be a focus for me to ensure we keep our towns vibrant. Local businesses are the heart of our community. As a family, we shop locally and can see the negative impact current parking and roads are having in our towns
